The American International School Vienna's teachers are highly dedicated and respected professionals who are committed to the mission of the school. The students are of their utmost interest. The teachers are responsible, knowledgeable, and incorporate a variety of measures to create a learning environment in which each students' abilities and learning styles are met.
We actively seek qualified teachers from around the world who wish to help us fulfill our school's mission. Recruitment generally begins in October for positions for the following school year but applications can be submitted when the list of vacant positions at all divisions is made available.
The list of vacancies will be updated continually during the recruitment period and throughout the year.
Our current vacancies are advertised here and in professional publications, as appropriate. Please note that due to the volume of interested candidates, AIS Vienna only accepts applications when a position has been posted.

School Stories
From October 14–17, AIS Vienna welcomed Rod Skinner, a distinguished U.S. college admissions consultant, for a series of informative sessions with students, parents, faculty, administration, and board members.
Thanks to the AISV Annual Fund, we were thrilled to have award-winning author and illustrator Ruth Chan on campus from October 13 to October 16.
On October 10, the Middle School Student Council organized a special activity to celebrate International Mental Health Day.
The High School Choir’s Fall Concert, held on October 15, showcased the students’ impressive growth and musical skill.
From October 8-11, a group of our Grade 11 and Grade 12 IB Theater students traveled to London to participate in the ISTA TaPS Perspectives program, an intensive three-day event that brought together young theater-makers from international schools across Europe and beyond.
On October 9, Grade 2 students had an exciting adventure on a field trip to Schloss Orth, just outside Vienna!
On October 8, our Middle School students went on various field trips with their grade levels. Students had a fantastic time learning beyond the classroom and campus walls.
Nine students from our Advanced Research and Design class recently visited the Technisches Museum in Vienna for a guided tour of the new exhibition on materials.
This week, we’re excited to highlight one of our After School Activities, Mini Chef Junior and Mini Chef Senior.
