Taking Flight with the CoDrone EDU
MS classes are deeply appreciative of the PTF Special Projects Fund for equipping our classroom with a full set of CoDrone EDU drones. This investment has added a valuable component to our computer science curriculum by taking code off the screen and into the three-dimensional air. Our students aren't just "piloting" these drones; they are mastering the logic behind the flight by transitioning from Block coding to Python. Seeing a student successfully program a complex flight path or use sensors to navigate an obstacle course brings a level of engagement and "aha!" moments that are hard to replicate with traditional software. This generous funding allows every student to gain hands-on experience with the future of robotics and aerospace engineering.
