A Totally M.A.D.D. Week!
Today marks the conclusion of our M.A.D.D. Week (Music, Art, Dance, and Drama) celebrations in the Elementary School.
Congratulations to our students on their incredible performances and art exhibits throughout the week.
Each Elementary School grade level had their own schedule for the week, during which students explored their creativity with special workshops on Latin drumming, Indian classical music, visual art, digital design, drama and acting, along with dance and movement. The students also participated in a IIASA Sustainability Project art workshop, facilitated by some of our High School students. Throughout the week, a comic competition was held, with students submitting their funniest creations for a chance to win a gift bag.
Special thanks to our guest musicians, actors, and dancers, including movement instructor Futurelove, Latin drumming instructor, Indian classical musicians, theater educator Mr. Olaf Heuser, and Bakabu, for their fantastic workshops.
Extra special thanks to everyone who has given to the 2024-2025 Annual Fund, enabling us to welcome featured guest artists from Vienna’s English Theatre for a spectacular performance, which was thoroughly enjoyed by our Grade 1-5 students.
M.A.D.D. Week culminated in a showcase held in the Mike Maloy Gym, where all ES grade levels had the opportunity to demonstrate their newly acquired skills.
What an incredible week full of unique learning experiences! Thank you so much again to all the teachers, volunteers, and guests who made this such a special week for our young learners.
