AISV Students Excel at World Innovation Competition

On April 30, two AISV High School students earned one of the top prizes (the Florence Nightingale Grand Prize) at the World Innovation Competition, held at the World Data Lab headquarters in Vienna. Four other AISV students received Honorable and Notable Mentions. The competition, co-founded by AISV teacher Jim Gaona Ellis, is an applied mathematics event that focuses on data science and data visualization.
This year’s competition focused on environmental issues, including meat consumption, energy consumption, and carbon emissions. Our six AISV students developed data visualization projects, following a structured competition guide. More than 50 students from 10 different international schools participated, engaging in critical thinking, data analysis, and creative presentation of their findings.
We are proud of our students for representing AISV at the international level!
