1960s and 1970s Alumni Reunite in Vienna

Some reunions bring back memories. Others bring back a piece of your heart.

This fall, AISV alumni from the 1960s and 1970s reunited for a memorable journey through Vienna, a Danube cruise, Budapest, and Belgrade. More than a trip, it was a homecoming to a cherished chapter of their lives, filled with youthful dreams, shared adventures, and friendships that have endured across the decades. The years may have passed, but the laughter, familiar smiles, and bonds forged at AISV remain timeless.

And, of course, no reunion would be complete without a little mischief! Old classroom stories resurfaced, with everyone debating who was responsible, who got caught, and who somehow escaped punishment. The details may have become a little hazy over the decades, and the stories a little more entertaining with every retelling, but the laughter was just as genuine as it had been back then.

As they parted, one sentiment captured the spirit of the reunion beautifully: “We may have left our school corridors many years ago, but a part of us never really left. The years have passed, but the friendships remain, the memories grow sweeter, and whenever we meet again, it feels like coming home.”
