MS Spanish Virtually Explores Machu Picchu

On November 5, the Middle School Spanish 1 and Spanish 3 classes had the opportunity to visit Machu Picchu: Journey to the Lost City. Located in Vienna’s Donauzentrum, the exhibition uses free-roam virtual reality technology to bring Machu Picchu to life. Students were able to explore Incan temples, plazas, and summits in detail without leaving Vienna.

The excursion was both fun and educational, providing students with an opportunity to learn about Incan history and culture under the guidance of their Spanish teacher. AISV students benefit from excursions like this, which take learning beyond the classroom walls, broaden perspectives, and connect learning to the wider world.
