Learning About Día de los Muertos in MS Spanish

On November 14, the Middle School Spanish class embarked on an enriching cultural excursion to the Latin American Institute in Vienna. The purpose of the trip was to explore and learn about the vibrant traditions of Día de los Muertos, a significant celebration in Latin American culture.

Upon arrival, the students were greeted with a warm and colorful welcome. They had the opportunity to hear engaging stories and insights into the customs and symbolism associated with Día de los Muertos, deepening their understanding of this cultural practice. The experience concluded on a sweet note, as students were treated to the famous sugar skull treats.

The trip provided students with a memorable cultural experience, allowing them to connect with Latin American traditions in a hands-on way in the heart of Vienna.
