Grade 8 Students Explore Civic Responsibility

On Wednesday, November 19, Grade 8 students had the privilege of engaging in "Democracy & You", a project organized by Foster Europe and the European Capital of Democracy. 

The project introduces young people in Austria to democratic values, European unity, and political participation. Targeted specifically at first-time voters and young adults who are not yet politically active, the initiative aims to strengthen interest in the democratic foundations of society through a playful and accessible approach. The program consisted of interactive, 40-minute workshops where small groups navigated game stations featuring picture puzzles, cooperation games, and digital quizzes to learn about civil liberties and the EU.

Projects like this one are among the many ways we empower students with the skills and character strengths needed to become positively impactful global citizens.
