Coding and Problem Solving in Grade 7
Last month, Grade 7 math students finished the fall semester by applying their new algebra skills through the related language of coding.
Students explored problem-solving in a hands-on way with robot obstacle courses created using Sphero, a robotics and educational technology company. Students challenged themselves to develop strategies and write code to successfully navigate the obstacles. This interactive approach to learning math deepened student understanding and made learning fun and effective.
It was a great way for students to see how math can come to life beyond the classroom!
