Grade 2 Visits the University of Vienna

On February 24, Grade 2 students participated in their annual field trip to the University of Vienna Chemistry Lab. Thanks to the coordination of AISV parent Alexander Bismarck, our students had the opportunity to think, observe, question, and experiment alongside university students.

Throughout the visit, the young scientists explored a variety of hands-on concepts, including chromatography to separate dyes through filters, the mechanics of drag reduction and viscosity, and the chemical process of creating slime. They also practiced sustainability by making paper out of recycled materials, measured density, and even successfully constructed working batteries using fruit.

It was a memorable experience that allowed our students to envision themselves as both university students and scientists, right in the heart of Vienna.
