Strengthening Teaching Through Collaboration

On Thursday, September 25, faculty and staff participated in our first Professional Collaboration Afternoon of the school year. Focus varied by division and department, allowing each group to engage in work most relevant to their goals.

We were fortunate to have Molly Ball and Jenny Killion from Erin Kent Consulting on campus throughout the week, along with Emma Burns from Learning Analytics Collaborative who joined us virtually on September 25. Molly worked with the Elementary School faculty on data protocols for moderating student work to inform the next steps for instruction. Jenny partnered with Middle School faculty, focusing on integrating and assessing interdisciplinary skills, such as communication, across the subject areas. Emma joined our High School faculty, working with teams on utilizing the data dashboard to personalize learning for students.

These professional development and collaboration opportunities foster lifelong learning among our faculty and staff and strengthen our ability to provide the best educational experiences possible for our students.

We are grateful to our three wonderful consultants who shared their expertise throughout the week and during our Professional Collaboration Afternoon. Their contributions inspire us to continue learning and striving for excellence together!
