Grade 2 Discovers Donau-Auen National Park
On October 9, Grade 2 students had an exciting adventure on a field trip to Schloss Orth, just outside Vienna! Schloss Orth, a beautiful castle located by the Danube River, is home to the Donau-Auen National Park Visitor Center.
During their visit, students explored fun, interactive exhibits about the animals and plants that live in the surrounding wetlands. They observed fish swimming in aquariums, listened to frog calls, and even walked through an exhibition that created the feeling of being inside a river! The rangers taught our students about nature and how we can all help protect our environment.
The students played outdoors and had time to take in the beautiful views of the river and the castle grounds. It was a fun and educational day that our students will never forget!
