On October 29, Grade 4 students visited Amethyst World in Lower Austria to kick off their upcoming science unit, "Earth: Features and Processes." Just an hour’s drive from our campus, the students explored the world's largest amethyst vein during an underground tour of the Maissau site. They even got to test out real excavation tools and dig up their own amethyst crystals to take home.
It was a wonderful hands-on experience learning about rocks, minerals, and our ever-evolving planet!
