Last week, we received a message from two of our new friends joining AIS in the 2020-2021 school year. Despite the fact that the school building was closed while current students and teachers are working remotely, this newly admitted family created graduation caps and flags to celebrate their upcoming start at our beautiful school. In this photo, they are waving to us from the Elementary School entrance.
These are just two of over 150 new students anxious to join the AIS community this autumn. Many of the families who are moving to Austria from abroad are faced with many uncertainties about when exactly the movers will arrive and if they will be here for the first day of school. There are lots of open questions for everyone, and globally mobile families have never been required to be more resilient and flexible than now. We are convinced that eventually, all of our new arrivals will make it to their classrooms, join their favorite activities and teams, and will form new friendships that will last a lifetime. We look forward to welcoming all new families to AIS!
