Tuition and Fees for School Year 2016-2017
The General Assembly determines the fees payable for each student attending the school for each school year. The currently applicable amounts of the school fees are (in EURO):
A non-refundable application fee must be submitted with an admissions application form to initiate the processing of applications.
A non-refundable enrollment fee must be paid by all new students and is due with the initial tuition payment.
A non-refundable reservation fee for students to secure their places in AISV. This fee is credited to the total annual tuition fee amount. Enrollment is finalized only after the school has received the reservation fee.
|Capital Assessment - New Students
A non-refundable fee must be paid by all new students entering grades Kindergarten - 12 (excluding Pre-Kindergarten) and is due with the initial tuition payment. This payment is also due for students moving up from Pre-Kindergarten to Kindergarten.
|Capital Assessment - Returning Students
Capital assessment fees help pay for buildings and other long-term projects. They are due with the initial tuition payment and are non-refundable. Returning Student fees are payable for all subsequent years of enrollment.

Payment of School Fees
Payment Option 1 – Payment in full
Tuition and fees are due and payable on September 2, 2016.
Payment Option 2 – Installment
Installment payments are applicable for tuition fees only; capital assessment fee must be paid by September 2, 2016 at the latest.
Payers wishing to pay in 3 installments must sign a payment agreement and pay an additional EURO 900,- (nine hundred EURO) financing charge (EURO 600,- for Pre-K). The amount of each installment and the date when each of the installments is due and payable are stated in the schedule of fees above.
If an installment is not paid by the respective due date, the installment payment agreement is nullified (breach of contract) without further notice and the payer will be disqualified from future installment arrangements. In such cases the total outstanding amount has to be paid immediately.
Installment payments may be granted upon written request to the AIS Business Office. Requests for installment payments must be submitted by August 31, 2016 at the latest. No installment payments may be granted after the deadline.
Early Departures and Late Arrivals
For students leaving AIS before completion of the full school year one of the following applies: one quarter of the tuition will be refunded for those students leaving before the end of the first semester (for installment arrangements - the third installment need not be paid); students leaving after the end of the first semester will not receive any refund (for installment arrangements – all 3 installments have to be paid).
The application fee, the enrollment fee, the reservation fee and the capital assessment fee are all non-refundable. Refunds will be made after the withdrawal of the student within 30 business days.
For students entering during the school year, tuition is charged for the full quarter in which the student is admitted, in addition to any remaining quarters, with the following exceptions: Students who enter between 01 January and the end of the first semester or 01 May and the end of the school year will be charged tuition on a daily pro-rata basis for the remaining days of the quarter of enrollment in addition to the full quarter fees for any additional remaining quarters.
Payments must be made in € (EURO). Any bank handling charges are to be borne in full by the remitter.
In the event of a late payment of any amounts due to AIS for more than two (2) weeks, arrears interest at the rate of 1% (one per cent) per month calculated from the day following the due date until the date when outstanding amount has been credited to the AIS bank account.
If a late payment continues for more than one (1) month, the Director of AIS at his/her discretion may terminate the schooling contract and disenroll the student by way of a notice in writing to the Parent/Guardian. In all other respects the provisions regarding “Early Departures” apply correspondingly. Legal costs incurred by AIS in the recovery of outstanding fees will be borne by the Parent/Guardian.
Third Party Payment
Parents/Guardians may inform AIS that a specific third party will pay the school fees on their behalf. It is, however, the responsibility of the Parents/Guardians to assure that the third party payments are made according to the school’s payment terms, and Parents/Guardians are liable for any outstanding balances of school fees including charges for late payments.
Activities and Elective Classes
Activities and elective classes may require additional fees.
Payments may be made in EURO only. Bank handling charges are to be borne in full by the remitter.
