AIS ViennaAIS Vienna

The American International School · Vienna offers quality educational programs in a city rich in history, culture, and the arts.  The confluence of students and staff from across the world makes AIS an energetic and intellectually stimulating environment, combining academic opportunities with an overlay of cultural diversity.   Musicians enjoy a venue rich in quality and history.  Language learners will find dozens spoken at the school and more within the city.  High School students may choose the US diploma, the International Baccalaureate, and the Austrian Matura.

2009 marked the 50-year anniversary of AIS.  Over the decades we have expanded our physical facilities and the opportunities available to our students. Some of those facilities have required serious attention in recent years.  New construction and renovation has resulted in the following improvements: the number of classrooms at all grade levels has expanded with the Middle School addition and renovations in the High School and Elementary School areas.  There are two new classrooms in the villa, offering the ambience to stimulate creativity and accommodate more students as well.  Finally, redesigned Preschool and Kindergarten rooms have expanded capacity and provided more room for experiencing, learning, and just moving around.

Education is a dynamic process.  The principals and teachers at all grade levels continue to develop and review curriculum in all subject areas and provide support for teachers to utilize best practices in educating our students.  The collaboration and ongoing work of educating students is our privilege and perpetual challenge.  We want to provide the best education possible and are committed to doing whatever it takes to keep AIS at the top of the list of premier schools in the world.  Our students deserve nothing less.
