Grade 3 Strings Recital

This week, our youngest strings musicians invited their families to campus to share the learning that has taken place so far this school year.

All Grade 3 strings musicians showed their families what a typical strings class is like, from rhythm and melody work, to proper instrument technique and care. Students even took some time to teach their families all the wonderful things they have learned.

The AIS Vienna Strings Program, offered in Grades 3-12, is a vibrant program where students learn to play the violin, viola, cello, or bass.

In our Elementary School, students build a foundation for good musicianship with beginning technique, reading music, and creativity with improvisation and composition. All Grade 3 students at AIS Vienna take Strings Class and learn a beginning instrument, and they have the option to continue in Grade 4 and 5.

To support the program, AIS Vienna has approximately 315 string instruments available for student rental, and a team of private teachers offers individual lessons after school for extra tuition.
